Creative background
Haleila was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Holocaust survivors and immigrated to Los Angeles with her family at the age of six. She graduated from UCLA magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Her focus was on abstract and conceptual art, and she later returned to UCLA Extension to study computer graphics and multimedia. She began her professional career in graphic design and multimedia in the '90s and currently manages a global creative team at one of the big four consulting firms, where she also leads learning and development. She expresses the texture of her own life and the paradoxical world around her using various media, including textiles, collage, paint, photography, and digital media.
Professional background
I currently lead a global creative team supporting internal and client facing design across various industries. My professional expertise includes art direction, design, concept development, training program development, brand identity, project management, coaching, and creative workflow efficiency, and working with a global remote team.
As a people person, I thrive on the magic of shared creative energy and fostering relationships. Being adaptive and agile position me for creative problem solving, effective leadership, and awareness of emerging trends in design.
I have lived in three countries and value learning about the world through experience. I’m a traveler at heart and one of my favorite creative projects has been capturing portraits of strangers and listening to their stories. My work affords me the opportunity to experience different cultures and geographies on a daily basis.
Other essential things that fulfill me are family, friends, laughter, live music, reading, film & TV and pickleball.
